The short answer is: yes, right now we do need an AI policy in our businesses.

Why? Because the number one reason people hesitate to upskill in AI is uncertainty. They’re unsure about what’s allowed and what isn’t, and nobody wants to get it wrong.

An AI policy isn’t about creating a cage; it’s about creating a safe playground for learning and experimentation.

So, how do you craft one?

We all wonder where we are compared to others in adopting AI. 

We know that it is changing how we work, but are we falling behind?  

I am here to tell you that wherever you are, it is not too late, and you can take action to get into the mainstream, if you are not yet there.

Remember how Google transformed our world? Well, some of us are old enough to remember 😄

Now it seems like the age of Google search is over, and we are moving to Generative Search, which is even better.

If you haven’t started exploring generative search yet, don’t worry—it's not too late. The sooner you get started, the faster you can build this new skill that will transform how you search for information. And trust me, it’s easier than you think!

Let me share a quick story. During a recent workshop in Toowoomba, I asked the participants what they wanted to search for using AI. One person suggested, “How do you compress a watermelon?” At first, I thought it was a joke, but it turns out it’s a real thing!
