AI agents are here. This is your way in.

Last Friday I spent four hours online with 50 accountants developing AI agents.

Here’s what’s real with agents, in accounting in May 2026, Australian and New Zealand.

Inter-entity loan reconciliations done in minutes, saving hours a quarter.

FBT calculations cut by 40 minutes per client.

A budget vs actual analysis that used to be skipped, now done in 90 seconds.

This is what’s here. Working in firms. Today.

And I want to tell you about how you can (and should) get it.

The agent workshop, in summary.

We started with everyone sharing what they're already doing with agents. In the first 20 minutes, we already had great ideas people could borrow from each other. Then we went into looking at how to make it all happen.

The current state of agents in accounting. What's actually working in production. What's still experimental. So people have clarity on where to put their focus.

The tools that matter. Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Agent Flows. But also Claude and Claude Cowork. We looked at the tension between wanting the advanced capabilities of Claude Cowork and wanting to stay in the safety of Microsoft Copilot. And we planned how to bring all that goodness together.

Policy and risk, properly understood. Agents bring new kinds of risks we didn't have before. We built a framework that helps us evaluate any agent idea: is it worth building, is it safe to build now, what do you build it in.

Prompting techniques for agent design. The shift from one-off prompts to durable instructions. We looked at how to write a brief that makes the agent reliably do its job again and again. We didn't have to invent anything. We just identified where to copy from.

Live builds. Agents constructed in the room, in real time. Entity establishment briefs. Invoice processing. The kind of work that goes from idea to working version one inside a single session.

What everyone took home.

More than 40 agent ideas from the room. Some already built, some drafted as a first version in the session. Everyone walked away with a 25-page document, agent ideas, prompt templates, policy points, tools. This is now their AI implementation roadmap.

The bottleneck isn't technology. It's permission. The technology is already in your appstack. What moves us to action is knowledge and guardrails, so we know what we can do and how to do it safely.

And then… the technology keeps changing. And we need to stay on top.

How you can get in.

I'm taking everything from that workshop, the frameworks, the tools breakdown, the prompting techniques, the risk and policy framework, the agent ideas, and converting it into the AI with Inbal Club.

On-demand material in the resource hub.

Run sheets for more live sessions.

The same content, deepened, extended, and built on, every month, with people who are implementing with you.

If you missed Friday's workshop, the Club is how you get the value of it (and more) on an ongoing basis.

This is where the work continues. The newsletter gives you the read. The workshop gives you four hours. The Club gives you a regular room where this happens, with accountants and finance professionals from Australia and New Zealand.

I am now building step-by-step implementation guides for the Club.

We pick the workflow, we build the agent, we test it, we share what worked and what didn't.

Public practice. Corporate finance. Sole practitioners. Mid-tier partners.

Many of the accountants from Friday are rolling straight in.

We launch on 20 May. We're going to start with implementing AI agents in your business.

There are 50 founding spots. Many already taken. Founding member pricing guaranteed forever.

If you're not building agents in your firm yet, you're not behind by months. You're behind by hours every week.

The bar to start is lower than it looks.
